Our Secondary School programme, British General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), is designed as a two-year course and the first examination stage at the international school.
Upon completion of the programme, students take their first official exams and receive their GCSE certificates. The curriculum includes up to 10 subjects, both core and elective ones.
Those students who successfully complete the GCSE programme can continue their education at the next stage, the A-level programme, where they prepare for admission to an English-taught bachelor's degree course at a chosen international university.

The process involves oral and written assessments conducted by our experienced teacher-psychologist. Based on the results, the applicant will be placed in an English-speaking class suited to their proficiency level. A minimum language level of A2 or higher is required for admission to the Lower Secondary programme.
Fees are typically paid termly, though alternative schedules (e.g., monthly) may be considered in exceptional cases. The initial payment includes a non-refundable enrollment fee.
Yes. After each lesson, teachers set homework via VIS’s dedicated educational platform to consolidate the material covered. This helps students reinforce their understanding and retain information effectively.
Lessons are delivered online in real time by a teacher via video conference. Class sizes are capped at 10 students in lower years and 15 in upper years, ensuring personalised attention for each student.
Primary assessment occurs through end-of-term evaluations in each subject. Formats vary depending on the subject, student age, and programme. For instance, older students sit mock exams using past papers, while younger learners may undergo oral assessments. Following these, students and parents receive detailed reports with grades and feedback from teachers and coordinators. Homework is also set regularly to monitor progress.
Each student is assigned a coordinator who tracks their progress and promptly notifies parents of any concerns regarding attendance or academic performance.
VIS operates entirely online, enabling students to study from anywhere globally. This flexibility allows students to travel, attend camps or competitions, or combine studies with traditional schooling without disruption. A stable internet connection is essential.
VIS students receive an internationally recognised British-style certificate, facilitating entry to English-language undergraduate programmes at universities worldwide, including leading institutions. The curriculum also allows seamless transfers to in-person international schools if required (e.g., when relocating). For example, one VIS student successfully transferred to the International School of Paphos in Cyprus.
