Admission to VIS involves an interview and written assessments. The interview, conducted by a VIS teacher-psychologist, evaluates the applicant’s English proficiency and suitability for online learning. Depending on prior academic performance, testing in mathematics and sciences may also be required, as these subjects are core to our curriculum. For students who have previously studied GCSE or A-level programmes, past examination papers may replace standard testing.
Our curriculum is built on accredited resources from Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and Oxford University Press.
Yes. Homework is integral to reinforcing learning and is published on the VIS educational platform following each lesson.
Lessons are delivered live via video conference, led by a teacher and attended by peers. In primary years, class sizes are capped at 10 students to ensure individualised attention.
Learning at VIS is fully remote, including interim assessments and internal exams. Students may study from any location globally, provided they have stable internet access. Only official exams in later years (starting with GCSEs) require in-person attendance at a partner examination centre. Our partner centres are located in: - Madrid (Spain); - Berlin (Germany); - Istanbul (Turkey); - Bratislava (Slovakia); - Pattaya (Thailand); - Yerevan (Armenia); - Vienna (Austria); - Almaty (Kazakhstan); - Tashkent (Uzbekistan); - Beijing (China). We assist students in selecting the most convenient location.
Our teachers hold degrees from leading global universities, including the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, University of Manchester, Royal Holloway University of London, Colorado State University, and others. Recruitment prioritises qualifications and expertise over nationality.
Yes. Progress tests and formal assessments are conducted termly. Assessment formats vary by subject and students ability. Following evaluations, students and parents receive detailed reports with feedback from teachers and coordinators.
Each students is assigned a dedicated coordinator who tracks their progress, alerts parents to concerns, and assists with academic queries. VIS also hosts regular coordinator-led workshops and extracurricular activities, focusing on soft skills and non-curricular topics.
