How is the international IB program built?

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program is a complex program with final exams that prepares students for university admission. It includes:

  • writing an essay based on research on one of the subjects being studied;
  • a theory of cognition focused on the development of critical thinking;
  • training in selected subjects;
  • personal development that combines learning with various activities.

The diploma program has a number of advantages:

  • gaining in-depth knowledge;
  • intellectual and emotional development;
  • the opportunity to learn at least two languages;
  • success in traditional academic subjects;
  • the opportunity to explore the nature of knowledge with the help of a unique course "Theory of Knowledge";
  • preparation for admission to the university.

In the future, when studying at a university, IB students cope better with a heavy workload and rationally allocate their time. They acquire key skills necessary for successful university studies.

What subjects are studied in the IB program?

Students aged 16-19 years old can study under the IB diploma program as a pre-university preparation.

Subjects are selected from 6 fields of knowledge:

  • Language and literature;
  • Language acquisition;
  • Man and society;
  • Sciences;
  • Mathematics;
  • Art.

Students choose classes in one of the subjects from each group, including two languages (mother tongue and one foreign language), social sciences, experimental sciences and mathematics, and create an individual learning trajectory.

Different groups of subjects and the possibility of choice allow students to realize their individual academic interests and enjoy the learning process.

The experience and knowledge gained during the IB program allows students to prepare well for admission to prestigious educational institutions and successful studies in a demanding university environment.

Regardless of where you study in the future, attending individual classes in the IB program will create a solid foundation for further study and the search for new knowledge throughout your life.

A full-fledged alternative to the IB is the A-level exams, which give you the opportunity to enroll in any foreign university.
